DEER VALLEY RESORT EARNS 15 TOP-10 RANKINGS IN
DEER VALLEY RESORT; PARK CITY, UTAH (October 2012) - To help set the mood for the upcoming winter, Deer Valley Resort is once again pleased be ranked among the best ski resorts in North America in 2012/2013. Deer Valley topped the charts in SKI's annual reader survey in many categories, earning a #1 ranking in six separate categories and # 2 overall best ski resort in North America. SKI Magazine’s annual poll asks readers to rank North American ski resorts in 20 categories. Prior to this year, Deer Valley held the #1 overall best ski resort ranking in North America for five years running.
Deer Valley's high rankings are a direct result of the resort's service, grooming and other five-star experiences. Such amenities are the basis of Deer Valley's operations, and also make up many of the categories in SKI's reader survey. The resort received# 1 rankings in six categories: Grooming, Service, On-Mountain Food, Dining, Lodging and Family Programs. Altogether, Deer Valley earned 15 Top-10 spots in SKI's annual reader poll.

To continue the Deer Valley tradition of providing a world-class experience, the resort has invested $8 million in resort improvements for the 2012/2013 season, including replacing the Deer Crest chairlift on Little Baldy Mountain with a high-speed detachable quad named Mountaineer Express chairlift. Additional improvements to the resort include a remodel of the Snow Park Restaurant, a new, heated outdoor patio at Empire Canyon Lodge, expanded snowmaking in Empire Canyon, a fleet of low-energy, air-water snowmaking guns and five Prinoth Snowcats, including one Beast Groomer.
