Deer Valley Resort Offers Utah Residents Exclusive Savings
DEER VALLEY RESORT, PARK CITY, UTAH (July 19, 2012) – Although summer temperatures are still rising, Deer Valley Resort is looking to put Utah residents in a cooler frame of mind by offering locals an exclusive reduced rate on ski season pass options at the #1 ski resort in North America. Deer Valley's Locals Only products are on sale now.
Offering local guests a savings of up to 44 percent off lift ticket prices, the products featured include Locals Only Ten- and Five-Pass Cards (with the Ten-Pass Card having the option to share with a partner) and Buddy Pass offerings.
Locals Only Passes: This season, Deer Valley Resort has enhanced its Locals Only Pass program by providing cards instead of traditional coupon booklets. Cards can be purchased in Ten- and Five-Pass increments and are available for either seven days a week or Monday through Friday only. Starting at $57/day for adults for the weekday option, two qualifying Utah residents in the same age category may share one Ten-Pass. Each person will have a card which will draw from the same Ten-Pass and applicable Buddy Pass(es). The Five-Pass option may not be shared. Locals Only Passes have two Buddy Passes in each Ten-Pass and one in each Five-Pass (age and day restrictions apply).
As an added bonus, when guests have skied all their pass days and wish to purchase more, they may simply call to have their card reloaded. The purchasing deadline for those new to the Locals Only Pass program is November 30, 2012. To qualify for the Locals Only Pass program, guests must present current documentation in their name of one of the following: Utah driver's license, Utah property tax bill or Utah utility bill.
Buddy Pass: Buddy companions joining guests with the Locals Only Pass pay the same low daily rate guests enjoyed when they purchased their Locals Only Pass. Discounted rates for a Season Pass Buddy Ticket are $64 for adults and seniors, $56 for teens, $38 for children and $57 for Midweek Buddy Pass. The Buddy Pass promotion is not valid during the December holiday period (12/26/12 – 1/1/13) or Presidents' Week holiday (2/16/13 – 2/18/13). After taking advantage of the Buddy promotion, that buddy can sign up for the Locals Only Pass program any time during the season simply by bringing their Buddy Pass lift ticket with a qualifying Utah ID to the Snow Park Ticket Desk to make their purchase.
2012/13 Season Passes: Season Passes permit unlimited skiing without restrictions, even during holiday periods, and are available for every age category. An adult Season Pass purchased before October 31 is $1,810. Full Season Passes are non-transferable. A full rate schedule, breakdown of age categories and restrictions are available at deerlocals.com. Additional Season Pass options include the Midweek Season Pass ($925 for adults, non-transferable and excludes weekends and the holiday period between 12/26/12 – 1/1/13), Military Season Pass ($925 valid for active, reserve and retired U.S. Military personnel and their spouse and non-transferable), and Hospitality Passes ($4,420, providing all the convenience of a Season Pass with the additional benefit of being transferable between family members, friends or business associates).
Season Pass holders will be issued a Buddy Coupon that allows up to four tickets to be issued at a discounted rate. The Buddy Pass Promotion is not valid during the December holiday period
(12/26/12 – 1/1/13) or Presidents' Week holiday (2/16/13 – 2/18/13). Guests who purchase a winter Season Pass this summer also receive a complimentary Mountain Biking Season Pass good for the remainder of this summer and next!
Snow Park Lunch Card: A discount Lunch Card is available exclusively to Deer Valley Locals Only Pass and Season Pass holders to be used during the season at the Snow Park Restaurant only, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Providing a 20 percent discount, the Lunch Card works like a debit card, where guests may purchase food until the value of the card is used up. The card may be purchased in $100 increments at the 20 percent discount, so a $100 card sells for only $80. The Lunch Card can be purchased online at deerlocals.com until December 8, 2012.
During the ski season, Lunch Cards can be purchased and reloaded at the Information Desk located across from the Snow Park Restaurant in the lobby on the main level of the Snow Park Lodge. Any unused value can be used the following season.
